Continental Tire Teams with Rutledge Wood

Fort Mill, SC; October 24, 2018 – Continental Tire is pleased to announce a new partnership with Rutledge Wood. The automotive enthusiast and all-around gearhead teamed up with Continental Tire earlier this year, beginning with the Hot Rot Power Tour over the summer.

A long-time fan of the Continental brand, Wood’s personal vehicles are all fitted with Continental tires – including his popular purple “Fundra” which carries the TerrainContactTM A/T tire.

Wood derived his passion for owning and wrenching on cars from his Dad and his love of the automotive world runs deep.

He has hosted and co-hosted various NASCAR shows and events for FOX Sports and NBC Sports. He has also starred on History Channel’s Top Gear USA and Lost in Transmission. In 2015, Rutledge joined NBC Sports where he covers the biggest sporting events in the world from the 2017 Olympic Games in Rio and the Kentucky Derby to the 2018 Winter OIympics in South Korea. He also co-hosts Southern and Hungry on the Cooking Channel.

Having already been a fervent ambassador of the brand, it was a natural fit for Wood to team up with Continental in a bigger way - supporting the brand on social media, and working together on a new marketing campaign.

We look forward to bringing those stories to life.“

Continental recently launched a new six-part video series entitled “For What You Do”. The videos showcase six different people that rely on Continental tires to pursue their passions.

The series kicked off on October 15 with Wood accompanying an avid camping and outdoors enthusiast, Lenny Stallings. Wood joined Stallings for a day that included pitching tents, canoeing, rock climbing, hiking, and a chat around the campfire. Wood guides the audience through Lenny’s story in a fun and comedic way, and while he isn’t necessarily considered an avid outdoorsman, Wood faired quite well in the great outdoors.

In the five remaining videos, Wood spends the day with a Meals on Wheels volunteer, an avid cyclist, a sports car enthusiast, a stay-at-home mom, and a volunteer sports coach. See each of these videos as they launch over the next two months at www.forwhatyoudo.com.

Wood will join Continental Tire at The SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada next week and will sign autographs at the Continental booth (#69000) on Tuesday, October 30 from 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM.
