ExtremeContact DWS06 Put to the Test on Hot Rod Power Tour

First a disclaimer. When we sent Ryan Eversley on the Hot Rod Power Tour this year we sent him without one very important thing…a car. Yep, Ryan headed to Milwaukee, Wisconsin with only a schedule for where he needed to be each night, and a plane ticket home from Gulfport, Mississippi. We left it up to him how he was going to get from Milwaukee to Gulfport. Luckily, our friends at Hot Rod Magazine captured his first day on the road. (As a note, he did make it to Gulfport and eventually back to the race track.)

Ryan, of Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge and social media fame, hitched a ride with model, and engine builder, Emily Williams Reeves. The duo hit the road in Emily’s 525hp 2005 Pontiac GTO riding on Continental’s newest all-season, ultra-high performance tire, the ExtremeContact DWS06. This next-generation tire has maintained excellent snow traction while improving on its wet traction, dry handling, and tread life. Now, we know you are probably asking why Emily and Ryan would care about snow traction in June. They don’t. But it’s an all-season tire and thank goodness because those mid-west thunderstorms were killer. They were no contest for the ExtremeContact DWS06 tires though. Our technology provided the grip and handling Emily needed to get from city to city.

So a race car driver and a model. What do they have in common? A passion for cars. A passion that is the thread connecting each and every participant on Hot Rod Power Tour no matter where they are from, what they do, how old they are, or what kind of car they drive. Take a look at Emily and Ryan’s day on the road:
