Goalkeeper, Sean Johnson, currently plays in Major League Soccer (MLS) for the Chicago Fire and is also a member of the US Men’s National Team. Go on the road with Johnson this year as he gives you a player’s view into each MLS city, as only he can do. Take a look:
Back on the road but this time it was unique! MLS All-Star 2016 was located in San Jose this year so I got a special opportunity to pack my bags and take over the Continental Tire Twitter and Instagram accounts for a couple days.
Plenty of activities going on that surrounded the game and I got a chance to explore it all! The fan zone was incredible, the stadium was electric and the match definitely lived up to the hype.
Upon arriving to the stadium, I thought to myself, "We don't play a league match in San Jose this year, so this is a perfect opportunity to do my travel piece on the city!" And even better I was going to film it and do it LIVE! You probably could have guessed who I was going to have help me, the man-bun prodigy himself: Quincy Amarikwa!
Quincy played with San Jose for a couple years before he and I were teammates in Chicago before he moved back out west (He originally is from the Bay Area). Not only were we teammates, but roommates on the road, so we pretty much could be described as siblings. He arrived shortly after giving him a call and then we got to chatting...here is what he had to say about his new city when the camera light turned on:
