Soccer Spotlight: Miguel Almiron, Atlanta United, Midfielder

Following an exciting 2018 MLS All-Star game in which Miguel Almiron teamed up with four of his fellow Atlanta United teammates on the MLS All-Star team in front of a sell-out crowd of over 72,000 fans in Atlanta, we get to know Miguel a little better in this week’s Soccer Spotlight.

Q. How important is team camaraderie?

A. It is very important to have good chemistry. lt helps us to play well together. lt's best to always just remain as a team and play well together.

Q. What music do you listen to on game day?

A. I like to listen to calming music and that helps me prepare for the game. I like a band called Callejeros and I like to listen to them on game day.  I don't have a favorite song of theirs, I like all of them. Just don't ask me to sing, because l can't sing!

Q. Most memorable moment of your soccer career?

A. When I played in Argentina and I scored a goal in a championship game. lt was an unexplainable feeling, I was just really happy.

Q. What has been a great fan moment that sticks out in your mind?

A. My first game with Atlanta, we lost, and I was feeling down about it and when we were walking off the field, there was a fan that was like "keep your head up, you guys are fine, don't be down about it", and it was a good feeling in my first game.

Q. What do you do in your free time?

A. I like to watch movies. I like horror movies and older movies.
