We asked seven MLS soccer players the best way to celebrate Valentine’s Day – and it seems as though a nice dinner with their wives is the popular idea! Which player are you most like?
Are you more like Tim Melia, Tito Villabla and Anibal Godoy who enjoy a good meal? Or are you more like Tim Howard, who skips Valentine's Day? Perhaps you're like Giovani Dos Santos who doesn't need to worry about it because he's single? Would you send flowers like Romain Alessandrini? OR are you more extravagant like Kendall Waston who made sure to include spirit fingers and a lovely rendition of romantic music in his description of the perfect evening?
Tim Melia, Sporting Kansas City: That changes as I get older. A quiet dinner out with my wife at maybe a nice steakhouse.
Tim Howard, Colorado Rapids: I don’t go on Valentine’s Day dates – it’s marked on my calendar as the 14th but I just pass over it to the 15th.
Tito Villabla, Atlanta United FC: I like to go to a multicultural restaurant called Dashi in Argentina. They have a lot of Asian cuisine.
Kendall Waston, Vancouver Whitecaps FC: I would go out on a yacht with my wife and have a nice dinner, and when we get home, I’ll have roses on the bed!
Giovani Dos Santos, LA Galaxy: I’m single! That’s an easy one for me because I’m single!
Anibal Godoy, San Jose Earthquakes: We would have a nice dinner in San Jose – eat something and then I would do something to surprise my wife.
Romain Alessandrini, LA Galaxy: I would send my girlfriend flowers. We could go see the sunset at Manhattan Beach and maybe go to a good restaurant – maybe Italian food.
