Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cannot understand the bad reviews I've seen! I bought a Ford Fusion in 2009 with these tires and 've just hit 88000 miles and still have not hit the tread markers. I'm heading out on another long road trip and will replace the tires just because its time. I could probably get through the fall wth the tread they have, but no need to take a risk when heading out of town. These tires have been great. Very good in rain and snow, no issue with excessive road noise and they have lasted longer than I ever expected. The negative reviews I've read here just blow my mind...how could the same tires impact people so differently. for my money these tires have been great!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Manufacturers must get these free These came standard on my son's VW rabbit, and on my Porsche Panamera 4S. That seems like an awful large price difference to cover with one tire. The problem is that these tires felt low on grip for the VW, let alone for the Porsche. Neither set lasted as long as an all-season should for either car. I replaced the VW with Coopers, and the Porsche with Michelins and have never looked back on either. Continental makes some great products, but this is not one of them. They do look nice though. Don't buy these tires just because they came on your vehicle. There are much better options for much less money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Garbage Tires These tires came on my 2012 Hyundai Elantra. I've owned the car for 17 months and have 13,300 miles on the car. I baby my vehicle, tires rotated as they should be. I had it in for the next tire rotation two days ago when the dealer tells me they need replaced NOW before we get any snow (I live in southwest PA). Tires are all worn evenly, but ANY tire should last more than 13,000 miles - oh wait, he said I MIGHT get another 1,000 -3,000 on them. I didn't have any problems with these tires, but I certainly would never buy them after this experience - and I'll be sure to check if they're stock on the next car I buy. It WILL make a difference in what I purchase next!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from OEM Tires - Have Performed Well The ContiProContact were OEM on my 2010 VW TDI Sportwagon. I have 53K on the car and looks like the tires would go the full 60k warranty. Just lost one yesterday due to road hazard so replacing two with the original. Will let the other two go to near 60k. The handling has been excellent in all weather even now at high mileage. I agree with other posts that they did get noisy. This was past 35K but manageable for me since I drive almost always windows up on the highway. The tire that suffered road hazard in the sidewall also had what appeared to be some herniation in that area so suspect previous damage. They've served well and received only normal rotation/inflation care.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 62k miles on original set. Shopped around. Bought 4 more These tires were original equipment on my 2009 VW Rabbit. Immediately, I noticed how quiet the car and its tires were. I have driven luxury and sports cars (Cadillac STS and Ford Mustang) and neither had tires as quiet as my VW. After driving through three Wisconsin changes of seasons (98 degrees, 18 degrees below zero, heavy rain and of course, blizzard conditions- these tires performed like champs. I shopped around other brands- including Goodyear, Cooper, Uniroyal, Firestone, Michelin, and Kumho- but I came back to the ContiPro Contacts. For the price- $157 each- I just could not justify taking a chance with another tire. Quiet, reliable, good gas mileage, great wear life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ContiProContact SSR - great in snow In March, I bought the ContiProContact SSR for my Mini Cooper S based on their all season rating. They replaced my summer tires but the first snow has fallen and I think that I might just leave them on for the winter. I am a conservative driver, usually annoyed by the other drivers going too fast in the snow but driving home (North of Boston) after the first snow, it was the other way around. The other drivers were going slow and I felt quite comfortable driving much faster. So, after about 10,000 miles of summer and SOME winter driving, I am very pleased with the tires and would recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great overall tire I am on my third set of Continental ProContacts and that statement pretty much sums it up. These tires are so good, I don't even consider another type for my car. My 2006 Fusion now has over 116K miles on it and they work great. Smooth and quiet ride, handles good in wet and dry conditions, great traction....I could go on and on, but simply, they are darn good tires that don't sock you in the wallet. How good are they? I am going to put a set on a 1976 Mercury Montego MX that I am restoring and the size I am going for has a whitewall design to fit the look of the car.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from VW CC stock tire Tires were good for first 10k miles...then started making noise even though I exceeded the 10k rotation cycle by rotating every 5k. By 20k one pair were well worn and the others going fast. The car sounded like a truck with off-road tires at low speeds, and lots of vibration at hogher speeds. The VW service said they were all "chopped up" and they would let the Continental rep know. I told him I had the exact same thing happen on my Passat which I had right before the CC. I have not heard back from the VW service rep...so no I'm stuck riding these tires in this noise, horrible state for another 8k until my lease ends, and I can get rid of the car. I hope they last another 8k, as I am not going to buy new tires with less than 30k miles on a leased vehicle. Very unhappy with these tires on two VW cars....
