Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tires for my 2005 Jaguar S-Type sedan I installed a set of 235/50/17 H-rated PureContact tires on my 2005 Jaguar S-Type sedan in October 2015. Now 15,000 miles later, they have been the best bang-for-the-buck tires for this particular car thus far (better than the Hankooks it came with, and better than the Dunlops that I installed when the Hankooks wore out). Quiet, comfortable ride, straight highway tracking, great wet braking, they hold their pressures well, and very even treadwear thus far. The Hankooks lasted 36,000 miles, the Dunlops lasted 38,000 miles, and I hope that these PureContacts will last significantly longer than either of the previous sets. Time will tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not sure about the others... Got these tires as they received better reviews than the factory Michelins that were OEM on my Accord - there was absolutely no increase in road noise, however, I did notice fuel economy was slightly better, and the traction, even during the break-in period was better than when I first got the car. For those of you saying they bubble, damage, or wear easily - I think that's user error. If you rotate properly, and do your alignment properly, shouldn't be any wear issues; and I've hit some pretty bad potholes in my area, which warranted several alignments, no issue with tires. Once again, Your mileage may vary, but what do I know? I only drive for a living.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE these tires!!! I never ever write reviews! So, that is how strongly I feel about these tires. I had Defenders and P4s prior to these and I can't even quntify how much more I like thee over those. They are very very responsive tires. I have never expereinced such responsiveness!!! Seems like the gas mileage may be a little less, but then my car a 2009 Corolla with 185,000 miles is getting a little older. If I trade this car in I would be tempted to trade the new tires from the new car with my used Continental PureContacts. I like them that much. I rated treadlife 4 but I really haven't had them long enough to know one way or the other.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wish there were a "Great" between "Good and Excel" I purchased these tires before a trip into snow country, my mileage took a hit but it has come back as the tires have broken in. Prius's have electric heat so that accounts for some of the mileage loss. The mileage is where the car is EPA rated or better, handling in snowy and wet driving rain is excellent, even deep puddles not a problem, no loss of traction observed, I have put 3K miles on them. Some road surfaces are noisier than others but overall the Pure Contact tires are pretty good. We drive rather than fly so premium tires are a necessity on the red roads we like to drive to really see America. Wish the tires were made in USA, that would have been a real PLUS.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrific Road Life I purchased Conti's PureContact back in October of 2017. They just went through their second tire rotation and Discount Tire informed me they only have 6/32" left on them! They have 10k on them. At this rate they will be wore out by the end of the year with 20k on them. What? I have emailed and will contact Contintental about this to see what is going on. Theses tires will never have 30k much less the touted 70k that the warranty implies. Plus my fuel mileage plummeted 7-10 mpg over my previous Michelin Primacy's. The tire is touted as have great fuel mileage. Not good folks, not good...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Second set, earlier than expected. Bought our first set in Sep 2015 and put just 25,200 miles on them. One was cut on holloween night and unrepairable. I was thinking about a single tire, but then checked the rest, and found that they were all worn almost to the wear indicator bars. Four wheel alignment performed when the tires were installed, and regular rotation intervals, even wear across the tread. Less than half the anticipated tread life. I like the tire's handling performance, so I will give it one more chance before switching to another. Ratings below based on first set. Second set just installed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice Grip, Bad Treadlife I have a set of 4 PureContact 205/50R17 tires on my 2010 Mazda3 Grand Touring. I had one tire replaced after 7k mi due to a sidewall crack that appeared with no apparent cause. I've rotated the tires every 5,000 miles and maintained proper pressure. My typical driving includes mostly highway, some city, and along a winding road through the hills on the way to work. After 28k mi and 26 months the tires are down to 4/32" at most and need to be replaced soon. I'm disappointed I didn't get the advertised 70k miles. I've emailed continental about a warranty claim.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Noisy tires. I purchased a set of 4 ContiPureContact tires for my 2008 CTS Cadillac. Since day one the tires have been unacceptably noisy. Have put approximately 2000 miles on the tires and just discovered that my rear axle wasn't properly aligned after I took the car in to another dealership for an oil change. The alignment of the rear axle helped but didn't totally eliminate the noise. I used this tire before on my mother's minivan without any noise issues so I am amiss as to the root cause for the noise. These are great looking tires, so unfortunate about the noise.
