Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Tires Bought these tires about a month ago. I live in CT where we get some snow annually but I knew I was going to need some winters for the few times I venture up to VT for ski trips. Boy, am I glad I got these tires! Vermont got about 3 feet of snow in the 4 days I was up in the mountains and these tires kept me on the road and in control. They're predictable, dependable and they were able to find traction with over 6 inches of snow blanketing the roads and very little plowing along VT-30 and select back roads around Stratton. I cannot yet comment on how well they wear, but I can mention that they ride pretty smoothly on dry tarmac, perhaps only a tiny but louder than my all-seasons. Would highly reccomend!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great on brakes, so so while under power I live in south west PA and drive a Subaru and we have had a generally mild winter. The tires are quiet during dry conditions and work excellent under braking regardless of the road conditions. I am not sold 100% on the traction capabilities though in snow and wet conditions. I climb a mountain daily on my commute and on days where the road was beginning to be covered with snow, I would lose traction fairly easily mostly on curves for my car being AWD with new Snow Tires. Also on slower tight curves the car would push straight ahead very easily rather than complete the turn. I have run the Pure Contact tires and in my opinion they are every bit as good as the WinterContact in terms of winter use and you get the benefit of an all season tire.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Performer I bought these tires for my 2017 VW Alltrack which has the 4 Motion AWD system. I live in the Greater Boston Area. So far the tires have performed flawlessly in mostly wet and dry conditions. It hasn't snowed yet very much but it wasn't the performance in snow that concerned me as these are winter tires. I was concerned about the performance on dry roads as I like to drive fairly spirited. I have a VW GTI that has high performance all-season tires on it so I am used to excellent handling. My Alltrack with the WinterContact SI performs very well by comparison. I have had no wheel slip accelerating, nor over-steer going around turns. The tires are not noisy and I am not experiencing loss of mpgs compared to the Conti ProContact all seasons that came with the car. This winter should be fun with the SIs; its the other drivers that worry me!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent snow/ice tire Bought these for my Kia Optima Hybrid due to the junk OEM Hankooks they put on my new car. Winter in Ohio can be rough so I splurged and bought a dedicated set of winter tires. I couldn't be more pleased. My car handled every storm with ease and I kept me fuel mileage and ride. Other than the road noise due to the aggressive tread, these are perfect for a light weight car. I don't sweat snow and ice anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Winter Tires After long hours of research decided to buy the Continental WinterContact SI (235/55r19) over the Michelin X-ice Xi3, and the Birdgestone Blizzak WS80. I felt that the WinterContact SI was better suited for my needs here in Colorado where it does snow a lot, but usually dries out fairly quickly because it's sunny everyday, so I felt I would need a tire that can handle everyday driving in clear cold dry conditions as well as harsh snow and ice/slushy conditions. I've driven on these tires on dry but cool conditions and to me they aren't loud at all. They are very low rolling resistant which kept my MPG's right on par with the all seasons these tires replaced. The tires handled the wet snow slush/rainy conditions and ice covered roads extremely well. I felt the Braking and handling of my vehicle was very predictable and stable during these conditions. I would not hesitate to recommend these tires to anyone looking for peace of mind during the winter weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great winter performance I recently ran this tire on a BMW 5 series in Montana, and I loved the way it gripped the snow and gave me predictable handling at speed.
