Continental Tire partnered with ‘Kick in for Houston,’ a celebrity soccer match that benefited Hurricane Harvey victims on December 16. The match was held at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas with some of the biggest soccer and sporting personalities in the United States competing in the charity event.

The event has raised over $300,000 to date.

The match was hosted by Houston Dynamo Legend, and FOX Sports analyst, Stuart Holden, and Dynamo Charities, the charitable arm of Holden’s hometown club.

Continental Tire presented “Charity Kicks” at halftime and post-game where athletes took a shot from 12 yards into a specialty goal with four exposed corners. Each corner represented a different dollar amount that Continental Tire matched - up to $30,000 - with a donation to Dynamo Charities and Kick In For Houston.

Skier Bode Miller earned $1,500 by shooting a penalty into the top corner during halftime.

All proceeds from the event went directly to Dynamo Charities to benefit the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.

“It was amazing, truly amazing,” said Holden, who was among the scorers as he captained his side against one led by former NBA star Steve Nash. “If I pictured three months ago after I sent out a tweet that this was going to be the turnout - everybody that came, all the athletes, all the people in the crowd, all the work that's gone on behind the scenes, combined with raising over $300,000 for the city of Houston… what a night!”

Players included Houston Dynamo all-time leading scorer Brian Ching, U.S. Men’s National Team legends Landon Donovan, Alexi Lalas and Taylor Twellman, Houston native and seven-time Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens, YouTube sensation Jake Paul and two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Steve Nash.
