Q: What is your racing background?
CP: I have been racing since I was 10 years old. I started in trophy karts which is a miniature trophy truck. I have now worked my way through the ranks and now race a Prolite in the Lucas Oil Offroad Racing Series full time. I have won many races throughout my career including two world championships and a Lucas Oil Offroad Modkart Championship.
Q: How do you expect this weekend’s Stadium Super Trucks racing to compare to your previous race experiences?
CP: I think it is going to definitely be different than what I do normally but I’m looking forward to being behind the wheel of the Continental Tire truck. SST trucks are similar in many ways to my Prolite but the biggest challenge will be racing on asphalt.
Q: Why Racing?
CP: I started racing when I was 10 years old so naturally, that is what I have grown to love. It is in my blood now and the rush of the competition and speed compares to nothing else. I’m an adrenaline junkie and racing fulfills that addiction for me.
Q: What’s your biggest racing accomplishment?
CP: Right now I am on a 6 win streak in the Lucas Oil Midwest Short Course League and it has been a tough battle trying to keep that streak going for that many races with so many variables.
Q: What’s one thing that many people don’t know about you that they should?
CP: One thing that many people don’t know about me is that I am a full-time student at the University of San Diego. Balancing a full-time schedule and my racing career is a tough task but I love the challenge.
