Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fine tire for the road Low noise at any speed and a feeling of stability make this a fine tire for on road use. With proper inflation pressure and regular rotation every 5,000 miles, one can expect the Crosscontact LX to last 45,000 to 50,000 miles. The traction in the wet is good enough to inspire confidence. As for off road performance, the only time these were put to the test was when I had to climb a grassy median with the low-range transfer engaged. There was some wheel spin but my '04 Tahoe made it up the embankment without causing me too much concern. I am pleased enough with these tires that I bought a replacement set when the odometer rolled over 100,000 miles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wonderful tire trust me i know! i am am a service advisor for a chrysler, dodge, dealer. i know tires. after a long time of looking into tires i found the continental crosscontact lx tire to be the best purchase for my 2006 honda ridgeline. I live in salt lake city, Utah and am a avid skier and moutain biker. So i spend alot of time in the washatch front in all kinds of weather and tempratures after many ski trips i have driven the tires in many inches of ice and snow and have found the tires to be exceptional in the snow and very quiet on the road. I also think they are better then the oem factory tires. i have sold people many tires and im sure after the 12 years of service experiance i would no a good tire from a bad one i think you will also find this to be the best mix of tire ( snow,a/t, wear, noise, normal driving, rain,) when i look at the tread it is nothing to right home about but look a the utqgl and info on low rolling resistance tires then buy the tires listed and im sure you will be happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Tire Quite quiet and good ride. Installed on a AWD Chevrolet Astro and the best tire so far on the vehicle - the 3rd set. We only have rain here in SE Arizona, and they are very adept to the downpours we get here. Works well on dirt roads also. Have not tested emergency braking yet, and hope I do not test severe braking. Tread life is not too important to be in the big picture - the extreme heat here shortens the tire life anyway. US Made trumps all. Overall, the tire instills a confidence when driving the vehicle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet, No Problems This is our second set of these tires on our 2016 Cayenne. The original factory set was replaced at about 36,700 miles, and we have put about 6,000 on the new set. We probably could have safely run the original set until 40,000 or so, but we were getting ready for a long road trip and wanted to have good tires. We decided to go with the same tire because they are reasonably quiet, and seem to work well in all conditions. We're sure that a winter tire would give us more traction in snow, but these all-seasons performed well enough for the kind of driving we do. (We spend quite a bit of time in Upper Michigan.) We like the fact that these tires carry the "N" Porsche rating.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rough Ride I, too, bought these tires based on Consumer Reports recommendation. I have an F150 4x4 with over 100K on it and have put about 5,000 miles on my new Cross Contacts but the Uniroyals that I had on my truck previously gave a much smoother ride. And I almost never had to add air to the Uniroyals but I've had to add air to the Cross Contacts several times already. Based on performance so far, there's no way these tires are going to make 60,000 miles. I guess I'm stuck with the Cross Contacts for a while but I won't buy another set of Continentals.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quiet Tire but it would wear out soon This tire came with my new Honda CRV as Original Equipment. the tire provides good traction and quiet ride and overall experience are good. but in my 3 rd service(15500 miles), the service executive told me to replace the tires as the depth measured is 1/32'. I am puzzled why the Original equipment tires designed to provide very least tread life. Also, the service executive said it is not covered with tread wear warranty so I need to buy new tires within 2 years of a new car. Very disappointed. I am not sure whether Continental provides a pro-rated discount for ties that lasted only for 15000 miles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long lasting , Smooth ride By far this is the best smooth running tire that I have used on my 13 Audi Q7 TDi. Before I had used Dunlop & Pirelli and none of these two brands come closed to the performace and durability ratio of the Contis. The Q7 it's a very heavy SUV so it will eat tires like butter. With the Contis I managed to get over 15K miles running smoothly and still going, something that I could not achieved with the other 2, since after 7K or 8K miles they were annoying (high road noise) and a pain to keep them balanced to say the least. Also the Contis performed very well in the rain and of course in dry pavement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Tire Have put only 1000 miles on these tires since purchase but I am really impressed and know why this is 1 of only 2 recommended tires in this class by Consumer Reports.
