Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2008 Mercedes CLK550 just got better Living in the desert SW 18K milies on a high performance tire was exceptional. Well I now live in the Pittsburgh area and when the first snow fell I got a real wake up call. It was obvious I needed to put something on with a little more bite. After researching 3 different tire makers and speaking to a two different Mercedes Service Managers, my final decision was to go with four new Continental ExtremeContact DWS. Boy what a pleasant surprize, they are fantastic. They ride smooth, they are quiet, and I can now drive on days other than sunny ones. I can honestly say that the car performs and rides better than the day I bought it. You have my vote....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great/Amazing year round tires! I really like how these tires feel on my 2008 Mercedes Benz ML350 4matic AWD. They respond well, yet soak up the painted lines and expansion joints with ease. And so quiet! I can't beleive these tires are so inexpensive as well! My drive to N.C. thru some pretty rough weather, snow and ice everywhere, these tires bit and clawed all the way no problem!!!! As fi I had dedicated snow tires on. But we all know that most tires start off great, and about halfway thru thier life the tires start getting hard, noisy, etc. and their performance can fall off quickly, and by alot. So far I have about 8k miles on these tires. So we'll see. But so far, it's great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply A Great Tire My 2012 Mazda Miata OEM tires were Bridgestone Potenza REO50A's which hold the road well but had the comfort level of a Conestoga wooden wagon wheel. Plus, the Bridgestones are a Summer tire only whereas the Continentals are All Season which is a significant safety factor if driving in Winter conditions. Replaced them with Continental's Extreme Contact DWS and felt the difference in comfort immediately. The DWS does not give a limousine soft ride, but it's not nearly as hard as the Potenzas. The DWS has a very sure grip on the road and also seems to have much less rolling resistance. Mazda would do well to scrap the Bridgestones and put these Continentals on every new car. This is simply a great tire.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'll buy another set when it's time. I've had my Extreme Contact DWS tires for 38,000 miles (2yrs. 4mos.) and they are still fantastic. Granted, I live in California and probably 4/5 of my miles are clocked on the highway but they are as great as the day they replaced the previous set of HORRIBLE Good Year Eagle (all season) F1's that were extremely noisy and only gave me about 30K before they were done. At this rate, I suspect that I will get a full 50K out of these Continentals, and when it's time to replace them, I will definitely buy another set. They have always ridden smoothly and been very quiet. I have had no vibration or sidewall issues (as some have stated), so I guess I'm pretty lucky.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3rd set of Continental tires purchased in a row I currently own a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3. When my OEM tires were up I purchased a set of the previous generation Continental Extreme Contacts. Great tire, great traction, and they lasted 30,000 miles with my aggressive driving and powerful front wheel drive car. When the tires needed replacing, it was a no-brainer to go with the new Extreme Contact DWS. Once installed I couldn't believe how much better these tires were compared to the previous gen. Rain traction is unbelieveable and with the amount of snow the Chicago area got last winter, these tires handled it like a champ. Dry traction was also improved as I noticed it wasn't as easy to break the tires loose under hard acceleration. So after another 30,000 miles, I just purchased another set of Extreme Contact DWS and am looking forward to enjoying these new tires!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so far the best all season to own in the snow I have ever had I have put apporximately 10k on these tires since august in New Hampshire driving conditions. I have been through torrential down pours, very deep mid october snows, and have been thouroughly impressed. I live on a hill where you have to make a 90 degree turn and then go up at about a 65 degree angle and I have yet to even see the traction control light on my 2010 Focus even flicker in wet/bad weather. Today I just drove 30 miles on roads covered with slush and snow and even felt comfortable enough to pass two AWD vehicles that were holding up traffic. The final test was driving through the parking lot at my office which had almost 7 inches of unplowed snow in it. Never once spun a tire and never once saw the traction control light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bridgestone Replacement I've been a Bridgestone customer for several years, but put these DWS tires on a 2007 BMW 3 Series convertible based on Tire Rack reviews. Like others, I hated the RE050 run-flats used by BMW. I don't feel I lost any cornering performance with the DWS, but gained a softer ride, especially on rough Oklahoma roads. I even drove them on some light snow, and was amazed at the traction! Tread wear seems to be very good after 10,000 miles. Continental, you've got a winner with this one. Thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible tread design inspires confidence I've driven the DWS for about 800 miles now and it has exceeded my expectations. Noticeably quiet with no vibration. Smooth ride. Innovative tread design that seems to do almost everything well. Indicated highway mileage is down from 34 to 32 in my 2006 Acura TL, but I suspect that will diminish with tread wear as DWS matches OEM tire in diameter. On highway in the rain I cannot MAKE this tire hydroplane -- feels no different than dry pavement! What a tread design ... most confidence-inspiring tire I have driven. In dry, cornering with softer sidewalls feels a bit squishy (chamfered edges) until you get used to it -- then it's very predictable. If I get anything over 35-40K miles out of this, I'll replace it with another set of Conti DWS. LOVE this tire! -- very high performance combined with wet/snow safety and peace of mind.
